Questions
What size are your lock blocks?
Our standard block is 2.5′ × 2.5′ × 5′ (2.5 ft high, 2.5 ft deep, 5 ft long) and weighs ≈ 4,400 lb.
Are lock blocks the same as lego or ecology blocks?
Yes — lock blocks, lego blocks, ecology (eco) blocks and concrete interlocking blocks are names for the same kind of stackable precast block with a key on top and a groove underneath.
New or used?
Both. Used blocks are structurally sound with cosmetic wear and cost less; new blocks have clean faces for visible walls. Tell us what it's for and we'll suggest the right mix.
Do you place them?
Yes — every order is delivered and set in place by K2 Crane & Cartage's crane trucks, so there's no need for your own equipment on site.
Do I need a permit?
In BC, retaining walls 1.2 m (4 ft) or taller usually need a building permit and a design by a professional engineer, and some municipalities restrict lock-block walls next to roads. Check with your city before building. This is general information, not legal or engineering advice.
