Terms of Use & Service

The terms for using koolcans.ca and for services from Koolcans. Plain-language and governed by the laws of British Columbia.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

About these terms

These terms apply when you use koolcans.ca and when you request or receive services from Koolcans, operated by K2 Marketing and Promotions Inc., part of K2 Marketing and Promotions Inc. and its businesses (K2 Crane & Cartage, Koolcans and BC Crane Service), British Columbia. By submitting a request or booking a service you agree to them. Your written quote, order or rental agreement may add specific terms; if they conflict, the written quote or agreement applies.

Using this website

You may use koolcans.ca to learn about our services and to send us enquiries. Please give accurate information and do not misuse the site — for example by submitting false requests, uploading files that contain malicious code or that you have no right to share, attempting to access areas you are not authorised to use, or interfering with the site's operation. We may refuse or remove submissions that break these terms.

Content on this site (text, photos, logos and design) belongs to the K2 group of companies or its licensors and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. Prices, availability, photos and descriptions are provided in good faith but may change and are not an offer until confirmed in writing.

Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

Quotes, booking and payment

Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. A order or rental is confirmed only when we confirm it in writing (email or text). If the actual load, site conditions or time required differ from what was described, the price may change — we will tell you before doing extra work where reasonably possible.

Prices are in Canadian dollars and exclude GST and PST unless stated. Payment is due on completion or as stated on your quote or invoice. Overdue accounts may be charged interest at the rate shown on the invoice, and reasonable collection costs.

Container and block sales

Containers are sold in the grade described on your quote (for example new/one-trip, cargo-worthy, or wind-and-water-tight). Used containers show wear consistent with their age — dents, rust and marks are normal and are not defects unless they affect the stated grade. You are welcome to inspect a unit before delivery by appointment.

Ownership passes to you when we receive payment in full; risk passes on delivery. Consumer warranties that cannot be excluded under the BC Sale of Goods Act still apply. If a unit does not match its stated grade, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we will repair, replace or refund at our option.

Concrete lock blocks are sold by unit; weights are approximate. Blocks are not designed as engineered retaining walls unless a professional engineer has designed the installation.

Container rentals

If you rent a container:

  • rent is billed monthly in advance from the delivery date; rentals continue month-to-month after any minimum term until you give notice and the unit is collected;
  • the container remains our property — do not move, modify, paint, sublet or remove it from the agreed site without written approval;
  • do not store hazardous, flammable, illegal or perishable materials, animals or people in the container;
  • keep it locked and insured against theft and damage if you store valuables; you are responsible for loss or damage beyond normal wear while it is in your care;
  • provide clear, safe access for collection at the end of the rental; extra trips caused by blocked access may be charged;
  • we may collect the container, after notice, if rent is more than 30 days overdue.

Delivery and placement

Deliveries are made by K2 Crane & Cartage. The site must be firm, level and accessible to a delivery truck (or crane truck where crane placement is booked), with enough overhead and side clearance. You are responsible for municipal permits, strata or landlord approval, and for marking the exact placement spot. If the truck cannot safely reach the site, we will place the unit as close as safely possible or rebook, and extra time or trips may be charged.

Safety decisions, weather and delays

The operator is responsible for safe operation under the WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and may delay, modify or refuse any lift or load they consider unsafe — including because of wind, weather, ground conditions, power lines or inaccurate load information. Time on site or a return trip caused by conditions within your control may be charged.

We are not responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, road closures, equipment breakdown, or other events beyond our reasonable control; we will rebook as soon as practical.

Cancellations

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations, or a dispatched crew that cannot work because the site or load is not ready, may be charged a call-out fee as shown on your quote.

Damage and claims

We carry commercial liability insurance and take care with every load. Please inspect the work and items when complete and report any damage to Koolcans within 48 hours, with photos. We are not responsible for damage caused by inaccurate information, hidden hazards, inadequate packaging or rigging points supplied by you, or ground or surfaces that were not suitable for the equipment as disclosed.

Suppliers

Supplier registrations are an expression of interest only. Purchases are made by written purchase order, and the terms on that purchase order apply.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses (such as lost profits or business interruption), and our total liability arising from a job or order is limited to the amount you paid for that job or order. These limits do not apply to losses caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer under the British Columbia Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or other laws that cannot be waived by contract.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If a dispute arises, please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly. Otherwise, disputes will be heard by the courts of British Columbia (including the Civil Resolution Tribunal for claims within its jurisdiction).

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time you book or order applies to that job. Questions: K2 Marketing and Promotions Inc. · harpreet.bagri@setosys.com · 778.995.8666.
